Richard Meehan - Piano/Music Director

Richard is a highly experienced composer, arranger, conductor, educator and multi-instrumentalist. His career has spanned the widest range of musical disciplines, and he has led musicians of all levels, always with the intention of producing the best possible results. His compositional approach emphasises craftsmanship, the ability to span genres, and a wry sense of humour, affirming Leonard Bernstein’s opinion that: “There is no ‘serious’ music or ‘unserious’ music, just good music and bad music.”

Paul Glover - Drums/Band Leader

Paul's reputation as a talented, versatile and hard-working drummer has brought him huge success, including international tours, major festivals, national radio and television appearances, drum masterclasses, studio sessions and more.
Paul is the band leader and founder of The Mulberry Earls and owner and director of Go Dynamite.
His notable festival performances include Reading and Leeds festivals, Secret Garden Party, Glastonbury and Bestival, and he has played with artists including Scroobius Pip, Pure Reason Revolution, Lisa Knapp, Marisa & The Moths, B.Dolan and Izo Fitzroy.

Anatoliy Vyacheslavov - Saxophone

Hailing from the Ukraine, Anatoliy (Tolly) started studying the saxophone at the age of eight and hasn’t stopped playing since! After graduating in 1990 with a Diploma as a Performing Artist and Saxophone Tutor, he spent his national service in the Odessa Regional Military Orchestra. After leaving the army, Tolly spent several years performing in various shows, festivals and concerts in collaboration with some of the Ukraine’s finest musicians.
In 2001, Tolly moved to the UK and soon came to the attention of many of the South’s jazz musicians who were impressed by his powerful sound, great technique and incredible spirit and passion with which he plays the saxophone. During this time he performed, recorded and toured with many artists including Cat Stevens, Suzi Quatro, Nick Heyward (Haircut 100) and the legendary Geno Washington.
Tolly continues to enjoy a busy schedule of performing, tutoring, touring and recording.
James Newman - Bass Guitar/Double Bass

James graduated from The University of Surrey in 2009 (BMus) and has since worked as a professional session bass player. Throughout his career, he has performed, toured and recorded with many bands and signed artists, as well as playing on cruise ships across the world.
James completed a PGCE teaching qualification in 2015 and is a highly respected music educator alongside his work as a busy professional player.
Notable artists he has played withinclude Jetta (Polydor), Connor Deasy (The Thrills), Amber & The Professors and The Rich Meehan Trio.
